Mijares-Mora Architects, Inc. is currently looking to hire one (1) FULL-TIME/IN-PERSON architectural production / design position.

Mijares-Mora Architects is recognized as a leading architecture firm in the El Paso Region, specializing in the design and planning of pre K-12 educational facilities, civic & municipal buildings, higher education, parking garages, religious, commercial, and workplace environments.

Qualifications:

· A professional degree in architecture – preferably a Master of Architecture

· 5-7 years of experience (Exceptions can be made based on skill level)

· Strong design and communication skills

· Curiosity and sense of inquiry that draws insight and helps synthesize ideas

· Capacity to navigate new and challenging design problems

· An interest in research, data, and objective analysis

· Strong technical background and familiarity with complex building systems

· Experience using Autodesk AudoCAD & Revit, Sketchup, and Creative Cloud Suite of products.

· Must have a good working knowledge of accessibility codes and general knowledge of building and life safety codes

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the day-to-day production of necessary drawings for various projects.

· Actively contribute to the planning, design, and documentation of projects of multiple scales and types

· Assist in preparation of client and stakeholder design presentations

· Coordinate design efforts and deliverables of design consultants and project team

· Assist Principals and Project Managers in the management of projects, as assigned

· Accompany the Principal-in-Charge or Project Managers to meetings with owners & contractors to review plans; coordinates all aspects of assigned projects with the staff; develop and maintain records data base

· Be responsible for complying with all policies, mandates and instruction given to them by the Principal-in-Charge, Project Managers, Lead Production, and Lead Designers.

· Provides complex level work in the preparation of clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed architectural drawings from rough or

detailed sketches or notes and prepares related project specifications as required

· Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of a CADD library of standard construction details
