Join us February 21, 2023 in Austin for Architects Day during the 88th Texas Legislative Session. We will discuss the policy issues facing Texas architects and offer informative training for follow up meetings with your elected delegation. You will have the opportunity to meet with several legislative offices to discuss TxA legislative priorities and topics important to the industry. This is a critical opportunity that only comes around once every two years, and we need you to advocate for architecture and architects in Texas.

Why You Should Attend

Through your direct advocacy and participation, you impact real change and influence decisions being considered. The first step to advancing our goal of expanding Texas Society of Architects' advocacy agenda is being well-informed. 

The primer provided in the morning session will provide the background needed to confidently discuss issues facing the profession. 

Your personal perspective and experience shapes the narrative, providing excellent opportunities for relationship building and expansion.

All members welcome and encouraged.

On Lincoln’s birthday, come to Austin to share your story with legislators and staff. Help them better appreciate the value of what you do, the importance of architecture and good design. Learn how to present our 2019 legislative priorities in a morning training session, then personally deliver the profession’s message — your message — alongside colleagues at the Capitol immediately after.

ARCHITECTS DAY: It’s important, it’s informative — but most of all it’s fun!

Registration begins at the AT&T Conference Center. Coffee and refreshments included.

9:00 AM
Training and information session.

11:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Move to Capitol. (Lunch ticket will be provided for the Capitol Cafeteria.) Team Leaders will work with their teams to meet with legislators throughout the afternoon.
